Reduction of plastic bag is applicable to all hypermarket, supermarket, departmental stores, pharmacies, fast food restaurants, chain of nasi kandar restaurants, convenience stores (including petrol station kiosks).While the mini market and single business premises must comply with the new requirement during license renewal. Hawkers and market are exempted. Those who still want to use plastic bags can get it for a fee of 20 cent a piece. The money collected will be channelled to Partners Against Poverty Fund.
