e-Payment

The e-payment Centre in the Penang State Government Portal is a one-stop centre that provides convenient payments of bills from state departments/agencies by electronic means.

Bills that can be paid at the moment are:

1. MPSP Tax Assessment
2. MPPP Tax Assessment
3. Land Tax (1st August 2009)
4. Student Loan Payment (1st August 2009-FPX only)

The e-payment centre provides facilities for on-line payment using MEPS FPX and MasterCard /Visa credit cards.

1. MEPS FPX

Payments using MEPS FPX can be done if you are a registered electronic account holder

with registered  banks under MEPS FPX such as Bank Islam Malaysia Berhad, CIMB Bank, Hong Leong Bank Berhad, Public Bank Berhad and Maybank Berhad. (Please refer to the latest list of banks in the portal).

2. Credit Cards

MasterCard SecureCode and Verified by Visa is a new method introduced for on-line payments using credit cards. The method is safe and convenient.

Steps taken before using e-payment

To ensure safe transactions during e-payment, the following steps must be taken.

MEPS FPX	Credit Card
Have a current /savings account from the relevant bank.   Register for electronic banking service with the relevant bank.   Register as an i-RakyatPG State Government Portal member (please refer to the Member Registration section at the Portal main page ) You are now ready to use e-payment facilities.	Check if the bank that provides your credit card is listed with MasterCard SecureCode or Verified by Visa , If yes, please make sure you register before using e-payment services.   Register as an i-RakyatPG State Government Portal member (please refer to the Member Registration section at the Portal main page )     You are now ready to use e-payment facilities.

 

Note : Every successful transaction will be charged RM 0.50 for FPX and 1.8% for credit card starting from 01 August 2009
